Set in the restaurant Got a medium fish and chips with curry was really nice. Good portion for a medium sized meal. Also got a strawberry milkshake not so good just tasted like milk had to take it back for more flavouring which they happily did but at £3.50 for a small glass of milkshake thats taking the pi _ _ but apart from the milkshake staff friendly and helpful would go again
We had the lunchtime haddock,chips,bread and butter,tea and coffee plus one portion of mushy peas. Excellent value and staff very pleasant.
Wife & i just had fish chips & pot of tea Bread and butter . Just Brilliant .. we not being to wackers for few years to be honest .. So today we made a point of Visiting while in Scarborough & Boy what a transformation .. The new owners have done a fantastic job of tranforming the place ( pardon the pun ) from the alterations to the food the seating the Friendly staff .. the whole ambiance is so inviting & airey ,we cant wait to be back . The Fresh white fish was honestly the best we have had . the chips so clean & yummy even the bread was thicker than normal & more tea than can drink .. i can say without doubt this fish shop / resturant will do very well i am sure . the prices are very reasonable & we still would not moan if they put prices up ,as the whole experiance is worth every penny & more .. we come from Brid & well worth the trip even if not shopping give it a try you wont be dissapointed .. we will be back,,, Thanks to all involved in running this place .. .. Keep up the good work ..
Popped in today for haddock, chips and peas. It was so good. Tasted fresh. Batter was crisp and the haddock was lovely. The chips were good, too. The service was great... no extra costs for sauces or a fork.
Took my family including one in wheelchair and our dog, staff were most helpfull even brought water for dog and a doggy treat without being asked. We had fish or should I say shark and chips. We sat at the bottom of the long dining room but was still made to feel at home. Food good and 5 stars for staff will be going again. There were 4 of us all adults
Great service, friendly staff and more important great food. Proper fish n chips with no grease. Good portions and good prices too. Recommended.
Heard good reviews about Wackers of Scarbough, so we thought we would give it a try. How disappointed we were. I ordered the lunchtime special, which arrived minus the bread and butter, my wife ordered scampi and chips. My fish was totally tasteless, the batter was nice, but not the fish, my wife's scampi was nice but contained a stone, nearly broke her tooth. For a charge of £24.10, I certainly would not recommend them.
Sat inside for our fish and chips, service was good and the food was delicious! It was very hot inside and lacking a bit of atmosphere so would probably take away next time but can't fault the food at all and would definitely visit again.
